What are the parts I would need to build a Digital SLR Camera out of a film SLR Camera?
K well i have an old cannon SLR film camera and i would like to know what it would take for me to take it apart add in some stuff and come out with a digital one. BTW it is old enough that it has no auto focus however i do not mind focusing it on my own. Also what i really want is for it to take very rapid fire photos. Thank You for your help in advance.

where as in an film camera you are exposing the film to the light rays from the lens in a dslr it is focussed primarily onto a cmos light sensor…the mechanism of operation of a dslr and a film slr is so different that it is impossible to change one into another…
It would ultimately be cheaper in the long run to invest that money in a DSLR, because those cameras are designed “from the ground up” as digital cameras.
The kind of “rapid-fire photos” you seek to make as a feature is something designed into DSLRs from the get-go; those systems are integrated for the various bells and whistles they offer, so to attempt to convert a film camera to a digital one would be an egregious waste of time and money.
This would be like getting all the parts for a car and try to build it yourself one piece at a time. But in your case, they won’t fit together so easily..
It will be far cheaper to buy one already made.
You can do a lot with your present camera. Check the link below to understand the correct way to do it.
