My new Panasonic DMC-FZ35 Digital “SLR” Camera

Today I got my Panasonic DMC-FZ35 Digital “SLR” Camera, it’s not a true SLR and it’s not a point and shoot. It’s a hybrid. Anyway I love my new camera, See the pictures I took with it last night here at flickr! www.flickr.com

yep i was reading about this on another site saying that the default factory settings are horrible and you need to change them, thanks!
use correct modes and settings and you should be fine.
thanks Yunais, enjoy your new camera!
Make sure to play with all the settings or your pictures will be noisy, thats not a camera or user error, it just needs to be set up for your environments.
thanks for uploading the pictures you took with it!
i will be getting this camera soon and was wondering how the pictures turned out.
This video is intended as a UNBOXING video mainly.
You do not need to be so rude about it. if you want another video just send me a message with two things 1. what you want it to be about and 2. any questions you want answered in it. but going around flaming comments is not exactly going to get you anything from me.
dude…. we don’t want to watch you set the damn date and listen to you unwrap the f*cking thing…. and now I’m staring at a G*d damn Amazon box…. paleeeez.
Delete this video and re-load a decent one PLEASE.
Thank you soooo much.
ok…thx
how’s the noise control of the FZ35?
i agree with you here but just make sure it fits your needs
but FZ35 has a lot of new and good feature, and i know my D70s would capture better photos, the FZ35 is inexpensive and has many good function….i don’t if i really sell or not..
it really depends on your opinion. but be warned you are going from a SLR to a P&S
i am planning to sell my D70s and buy this one, what do you suggest?
thx 4 reply

the sensor is 0.28cm^2 just like most P&S lumix. The image processing algorithms in the FZ35 are superb, and the lens which makes up for the fairly small sensor. The LX3 has a larger sensor though
i have the FZ35, great camera
the image sensor on here is still pretty huge. and a D-SLR is not necessary when you have this much zoom on such a nice and small package. it might not be formally a D-SLR but damn well it is the closest thing you will get with super telephoto and D-SLR abilities before you actually need to go up to a D-SLR. end of story.
fz35 is not a dslr camera. dslr camera is much bigger and heavy that can change lense. not to mention dslr image sensor is bigger.

Take ur iodine tabs.
There may be a low yield tactical nuke on the way.
ill just uhh wrap up in my lead apron and call it a day… that will work well if they are nuclear ;)
yep, and costly. over the course of a year if you are a heavy shooter you will have bought a second camera in the form of freakin batteries!
Hunker down in the bunker.
The Canon PowerShot SX20 IS has a swivel screen. Only reason I chose the FZ35/38 over the Canon was down to the battery. The Canon uses AA batteries! Primitive!
Nooo no air strike, we will all dieeeeee
I ordered an air strike. lol
Very cool.
Rock-steady shots.
i ordered the tripod
