I bought this item for a trip we were going on, but the trip has been postponed. I have not had the opportunity to truly test or use this item. I have played with it for a few minutes only to see if it is at all what I wanted, it appears to be and I think I will be happy with it. I do not feel I can judge it until further use. I do not think I will be disappointed though.

This product may look cool in advertisement, but it is not very practical for SRL cameras. I have Nikon D70, and it DOES NOT hold very well. It can not grab on anything with D70. It doesn’t even held straight up my D70. My D70 almost broke when it fell off a rock top. Even it was placed on a flat part of rock top. It works OK on my very small Canon digital elph. DO NOT recommend it to use with SRL camera.

My Gorillapod arrived in excellent condition, packaged well and it is one product that does work as advertised. My only complaint or question is just what does “Ethically made in China” means? Does it mean that it didn’t put Americans out of work or take an American job to make it in a communist country with no human rights? If you want to sell it in American make in the USA so Americans can afford to feed their children

Joby GP2-E1EN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras
I’ve used this tripod several times already and I always carry it everywhere with me. The only problem is that to pay $40 for a tripod and it to be so small seems to make it not quite as valuable, but it is a pretty cool tool to use, especially if you take a lot of roadside shots and you want to use you trunk to replace a 57″ regular tripod.
Happy trails!

Joby GP2-E1EN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras
Hi,
I bought this product and it is really useful.
One important issue is, in the photos they show for the SLR cameras version, they used a camera that fits the bill for the this tripod. I own Nikon D70 DSLR. So this tripod can not keep my camera upright for a long time unless its head is perfectly upwards with legs adjusted properly.
If you have a light weight SLR like Canon digital rebel, this is certainly a great product.
I still love to use it with my D70, as pros over-weigh the cons.
Hope this helps.
