You don’t know what’s best, but you don’t like Nikon?
You don’t really have a clue about photography do you? Get a basic camera, of ANY make, go away and learn how to use the kit lens, then in two or three years come back and ask again, and we will all help you to learn more!

It’s hard to answer without knowing your budget and the range you zoom needs to cover. Even the macro question depends on what you are going to photograph: if you were going to photograph jewelery, then a 50mm or 60mm macro is very good; if you were hoping to photograph wasps and spiders, then a 120mm Macro gives you more working distance (and less chance of being stung!).

My guess is that you are a relative beginner. The Canon 550D is a very good first choice for someone who wants to go beyond just snapshots. The Canon 18-135 IS is a reasonable choice, but the 18-200mm IS is quite a desirable alternative. For the macro, consider a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 - excellent results and very good value.
If you don’t want to go to Nikon (very fine cameras in the SLR range) then the new Pentax K-x might be worth a look; very good value with useful features and good build quality. Similar lenses are available in the Pentax range.

Well the good thing about DSLR’s is you can buy everything separately. So get a camera body, lets say a Canon 350D as it is cheaper (you don’t seem to know a lot, so I imagine you don’t want to spend a lot) then go to ebay, or a proper camera shop such as the canon website and pick the lenses you want and buy them separately. In case you’re unaware of this you will be paying probably twice the price if not more, for the lenses than you will the camera body. Make sure you read about which lenses will fit the camera body too.
