Are any digital slr cameras for ex Nikon D90 a 35-mm camera with f-stop and shutter controls?

So I’m planning on taking photography in my school in spring of next year and they require a 35-mm camera with f-stop and shutter controls.
Does a Nikon D90 or Nikon D5000 have that? Orr any sort of digital slr camera?

Please help, I’m planning to make a purchase soon.
Thanks.

Any DSLR will have fully manual controls, which includes f-stop and shutter speed controls. Along with white balance, ISO, exposure compensation, etc. Entry level DSLRs included, such as the Nikon D40 or D60, or Canon Digital Rebel series.

Though if your in need of a 35mm for your class, that doesn’t include digital cameras. If that is the case, a good example of a camera you’d be looking for would be any of the 35mm Canon EOS Rebels (not digital rebels). Good price, good quality.

You need a FILM CAMERA. Not a D anything, An F something.

35mm means 35mm film. and all manual ones have those controls. You’ll see a leaver on the right top side if it’s manual.

Hey 5×5, the film winding lever is SO 1970′s… there are many models of 35mm film camera without such a lever. My Nikon F does have one, but my Minolta 7000 does not. Autowinders… built into the body. They are a good thing.

And like everyone else said already, you need a film camera, not a D90.
